SBI Clerk Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Main Examination)
There will be penalties for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question
SBI Clerk Selection Criteria For Main Examination:- Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the numbers of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for Main Examination from the top of above merit list
SBI Clerk Mains Syllabus & Exam Pattern
Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks.
SBI Clerk Mains Objective Test– The duration of objective test is 2 Hr. 40 min. and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Note:- The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
SBI Clerk Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify both in Prelims and Mains exam separately. The marks obtained in Main Examination, is used for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
Test of specified opted local language
Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
