RPF SI Training Process
  • Selected candidates will have to undergo a rigorous initial training in any one of RPF/RPSF training centre or any other such institution as decided by the Railway Administration.
  • The trainee recruits/cadets will be given a stipend of Rs 35,400 plus other allowances as admissible under the Railway Rules during the period of training.
  • Candidates need to pass the final examination at the end of the training and before the final appointment.
RPF SI Job Profile
  • They are responsible to supervise the Railway station, take care of any crime happening, find out the evidence and file cases in the station.
  • They are responsible for protecting the Indian railway tracks and keep an eye on the signalling equipment.
  • A Sub Inspector has to work in a team with his teammates the candidate is required to regularly take updates from his junior and senior.
  • An SI is also responsible to monitor and supervise all the activities happening on the station and keep coordination between the Local Police, Railway Police, and the railway administration.
