• Data Entry: Candidates are given the responsibility of maintaining data. They are also required to put them in the system.
• File Work: RBI Assistants are given the responsibility of maintaining the files on various matters of the organisation.
• Replying to mails: Selected candidates are required to draft and replies many mails.
• Assistant Work- RBI Assistant give some assistant to higher authority to function organization smoothly.

There are two methods for an Assistant to get promoted to a higher level

• Normal process- The employee has to qualify written exam and on the basis of his experience and seniority in the services of a bank, he/she will be selected as Officer
• Merit basis process- Three-year service (minimum) as a clerk with a JAIIB and CAIIB diploma conducted by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is must with graduate/post graduate degree.
