IBPS Clerk Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Main Examination)

There will be penalties for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question

IBPS Clerk Selection Criteria For Main Examination:- Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main examination

IBPS Clerk Mains Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks.

IBPS Clerk Mains Objective Test– The duration of objective test is 2 Hr. 40 min. and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Note:- The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be
deducted for each wrong answer.

IBPS Clerk Final Selection 

The candidates will have to qualify both in Prelims and Mains exam separately. The marks obtained in Main Examination, is used for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

There is not any major difference in the syllabus of both. But few changes are there in the mains exam pattern of SBI Clerk 2022 and IBPS Clerk 2022.
